Great great granddad corrects Anzac record

MELBOURNE–Good to see my great great grandfather John Treasure getting stuck into the press on my birthday, 100 years ago today.

He was correcting the record in the local press that three of his sons were at the WWI front, and he’d just got word that son Leo was wounded. I’m obviously a chip off the ‘ol Western Australian block.

I had a good look at my great granddad and his brothers’ contribution to WWI in April on the 100th anniversary of Anzac day.

Meanwhile, seems JJ Treasure was much loved in the district.
