TAIPEI–Back in the Peso saddle, playlist follows. Got the new Primal Scream. Hot. And the Nirvana single. Eerie. Lectured at Jing Wen Chi Shu (university) Saturday, and having a basic aversion to news lately because of US warmongering, missed that a sniper was strolling Anji’s neighborhood. Found out as I was deconstructing the information achitecture of CNN.com for a class of 120. Froze. Bad juju. Anji’s account on anjilaclubb. Shout outs to Cutter who defaced Blowback. Bring it on.

…and today, from The Chaser:

US DECLARES WAR ON HYPOCRISY

Immediately rules out attacking self

WASHINGTON, DC, Sunday: In a strongly worded attack on double-standards in global politics, US President George W. Bush yesterday declared, “The United States is now engaged in a war on hypocrisy in all its forms wherever it may occur throughout the world.”

He then moved to reassure the nation, saying that “US citizens will, of course, be exempt from any action.”

Bush singled out Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein for his strongest criticism. “Saddam Hussein is a dictator who does not have the support of his people,” said Bush, “whereas almost one in two Americans voted for me in a democratic election.”

Hey Anji :) I just spoke to Noah because, hey, it’s 2am in the morning there. I loved your pic, so played with it and here you are, stage left. Wish I was there with u. More news: still homeless in TPE, but the crew are looking after me. Back in La Place right now – coffee, broadband conection, rain outside, but they have changed the music! Realized last night while DJing at Peso that it was your Sunday late-morning and early afternoon. Made me feel sparkly. So happy that you’re using anjilaclubb. Ah, technology, huh? That said, Noah is demanding an email. We both confered that you’re definitely not as tech-nerdy as us. But we’ll change that.

HONG KONG–It’s official, and welcomed: flying to TPE tomorrow (26th), in town by noon. Phew, HK has taken the wind out of these sails – or is that sales? Have you seen the new feature on adamconnors.net yet? Blowback. Have your say on the bulletin board. Was I too hard on EBTG? Too soft on Gloria Estefan (eek!)? Overly gushing about Mr Bungle? Whatever. You tell me. See the bottom of story pages.

HONG KONG–Still trying desperately to get out of here! Chem Suzy on Sat night, DJing to my old skool Canto massif, was a blast, but brought on my first flu in over a year. Must remember to play more MBV. Escaped to Lamma now, but must run for ferry to work, er, now. Don’t worry Taipei folk, still heading there ASAP. And if anyone can answer this question, much appreciated: how close is Alexandria, VA, to Washington DC? Ah, 20km. Thanks Yahoo Maps.

HONG KONG–It’s the shatters that matters. WABS: +852-9174-4096. Cheering myself up by DJing at ol’ skool HK haunt Chemical Suzy Saturday night (Sept. 7) – JANGLE! Craving TPE. HK is creaping me out seriously. Big shout-outs to Da-wai (I will return your mail when I get a sec), Homebound Bron and mincing Mio. Moment of self doubt follows.
