It didn’t take too long for Honeycomb to fill the space, unoccupied by people, with some excellent noise which would have fit in anywhere between the Sandringham in Sydney’s inner city to the Swanbourne here in Perth.
Bucket deserve to have their name up on a lighted marquee. Their truely Bostonian sound is sweet, cool indie rock – a shoegazing sight and sound which is largely unheralded in Perth but would break hearts if they had come from somewhere else.
The lush, jazz-fused beatnik platter that is Portrait Of A Groove rushes at you from a crew named Bluezeum, a collective of smooth professional musicians headed by a kid from the Southern Californian spoken word circuit, Adwin (pronounced ah-dween) Brown.
