Infected, MX, May 23, 1996

Who were these suited gentlefolk … um, Infected? The growling Joe Kapiteyn, his velcro-attached dreds whipping his fellow comrades, launched into their subsonic grindcore that only gets better as technology creeps further into their sound.

Bjorg Satere’s keyboard-driven, airy industrial chimes underlaid the dark and heavy strings, a more sequenced drum sound succinctly maintained the difficult arrangements. A piece like Brick Wall View showed Infected as the tight, world-class noise-smiths that they truly are.

Do yourself a service if you are slightly interested in the modern form of primeval musical power.
