Mental Notes: February 2007
MELBOURNE–A note-to-oneself type of entry follows… I’m noticing now in 2007 more than ever that my folio sites – see the right nav – that I helped or solely designed and developed over the past 13-odd years are now several generations past and redesigned. So what follows is a list of links to the Internet Archive versions that I think represents them in their original glory.
Mental Notes: February 2007
MELBOURNE–Note my apology for any broken images and links in these archived versions – learn more about the Internet Archive.
Mental Notes: January 2007
MELBOURNE–Aloha and welcome to the oh-seven. Hilarious Sue and Adam adventures on the day before new year, so I still had the cognisance to turn up for work Jan 1. What follows is a very nascent Bob Ellis article about something pretty evil amongst the news coverage I worry myself with each day. Jingos!
Mental Notes: December 2006
MELBOURNE–There’s something to be said for a quiet mind. Holidays were more than sweet, and the new gig at Radio Australia is very comfortable and extremely professional. A welcome change. Off to Sue’s family abode for yuletide gaiety. Note the surrealpolitik channel is now in archive mode until I start broadcasting again. Jollies to you. WABS: Brisbane 24-29 Dec.
Mental Notes: October 2006
MELBOURNE–Righto, finished up at SBS this Friday just gone, and am having a glorious three weeks holiday before beginning at the the other national broadcaster mid-November. Sue and I are off to Kangaroo Island in South Australia for a week, should be damn fine. WABS: Adelaide 22-23 Oct, Kangaroo Island 23-27 Oct, Adelaide 28-29 Oct.
Mental Notes: September 2006
MELBOURNE–And it’s a fine morning to you. I’m back presenting the breakfast edition of World View (website – national frequencies and times) across Australia 6-7am on SBS Radio until Oct 6. Getting very tired, not had a break since January. Is that a not too subtle clue to the future? WABS: In Sydney Oct 6-11. Hoo ha!
Mental Notes: August 2006
MELBOURNE–Ah yes, the cold is indeed breaking here in the south, and stay tuned for the probably ordinary news of my bicycle stunts as I go out today to get me some wheels. The impetuous for which is my starting presenting the morning edition of World View this coming week. Click the link for the frequency across Australia.

Hello from the coalface. Yep, I’m back reporting, back at SBS in the Melbourne office, working for World View, the “cross cultural meeting place” of feature-style radio reports and some news/current affairs. It’s on nationally 6-7am and 5-6pm weekdays, and truly is a whole lot of fun… when one can come up with enough ideas, and the time to produce it, to fill 2 hours of radio every day.
