Asia Pacific fare for art fair

The biennial Melbourne Art Fair has been exhibiting the works of Australian artists and galleries for more than 20 years, and this year it returns to the Royal Exhibition Building from August 2 to 6.

Having now grown to encompass the whole Asia Pacific region, the fair will be showcasing more than 3-thousand works from 9-hundred artists.

But what makes an art fair different from run-of-the-mill art festivals, shows, galleries and exhibitions?

As the director of the Melbourne Art Fair, Bronwyn Johnson, tells Adam Connors, the fair provides unprecedented access to buying art, meeting the artists, and learning what it takes to become an art collector… whatever your budget.

And if you’re in Melbourne between the 2nd and the 6th of August, you can take a look through the thousands of available works at the Royal Exhibition Building.
