China and Korea have already reacted to Prime Minister Koizumi’s visit by summoning their respective Japanese ambassadors.
And there are reports of a demonstration out front of the Japanese embassy in Beijing.
Professor Gavin McCormack of the ANU tells Adam Connors there is little doubt the reaction will be strong.
