The men that control Indonesian volcanos

It has been two months since a massive earthquake struck the city and surrounds of Jogjakarta, killing more than 6,000 people.

But the Javanese, as well as scientists… and even mystics… have been watching another major catastrophe in the making just north of the city for a lot longer — the continuing instability of the active volcano known as Mount Merapi.

For this week’s Dateline, Bronwyn Adcock went to the mouth of the mighty volcano with Javanese mystic men who claim to be able to control the mountain. She’s speaking with Adam Connors.
