SYDNEY–Hunter S. Thompson. New Journalism’s Dark Prince. Dead. Don’t get me wrong, I love the the big T, but if I get any more junk from a self-important baby boomer such as “bringing to a sober close an era of print journalism rooted in the raucous 1960s”, I’ll go postal. He indeed changed j’ism forever. And that’s my two cents.

SYDNEY–I think I can speak for everyone of the emotional exhaustion of the past few days following the Indian Ocean tsunamis. At work, going through wire photos and writing stories which, 10 minutes later, you have to update the death toll upward in the thousands, is frickin’ painful. Make sure you get behind your local aid organizations and donate your xmas goodies. Get our NYE party info here. She’s among the people in Bernalillo and Sandoval counties who say they have had trouble with early voting equipment.
